Bytemark Games's Jaws for iPhone is on sale this weekend, reduced from £1.79 to 59p, just nine days after it first hit the App Store.

The phenomenon of iPhone games going on sale shortly after release has long vexed iPhone gamers, most recently last week when Glu released Escape from NOM at £1.79 and then made it free shortly afterwards.

The gaffe resulted in Glu offering everybody who paid for Escape from NOM a free game to compensate.

Jaws is discounted all weekend.

The game, which features the classic John Williams theme tune and involves dragging innocent swimmers out of the infamous great white’s path, is available now. Click on the App Store link below to download it.
