Mexican game development studio Tortuga Xel has announced the upcoming launch of Jade Order, the studio's pixel-art puzzle game coming to iOS and Android devices on July 7th. The single-player title puts you in the shoes of an ancient hero returning from exile on a quest to get rid of the Ashen Plague.

In Jade Order, players must help the Jade Goddess and light the sealed beacons of the Ashen Plague's millenary Order by solving tricky puzzles across complicated paths and patterns. The game also features lightning-based skills players can learn to progress through the levels across 50 different puzzles.

The title features retro pixel-art visuals with a very distinct colour theme that fits the overall setting of the game. According to the in-game narrative, "The eternal conflict between the gods knows no end. Since the beginning of time, the clash of life and death has endured. Balance must be preserved."
