iPhone is going International Snooker loopy

We’ve been chatting with the humble fellows over at Big Head Games about their follow up project to the recently released Retro. The two games couldn’t really be farther apart, as the new one is the App Store’s first dedicated snooker game.

Initially just called Snooker, Big Head Games had to change the title to (the more fitting) International Snooker at the eleventh hour due to a naming conflict with another game, but fortunately it didn’t delay the game’s release and was still timed perfectly to coincide with yesterday’s Live Masters Snooker tournament on the telly.

Although there has been the odd snooker mode in iPhone pool games, this is the first dedicated green felt adaptation, and boasts some slick, smooth 3D visuals, realistic ball physics, accurate power gauge and full ball control as you compete against some of the top names in the game for the International Gold Cup.

Have a gander at the International Snooker gameplay video below, then pot one in the corner ‘Buy It!’ pocket to head on over to the App Store for a closer look.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
