Developer Star Chess Studio has announced that their PC town management simulator Immortal Mayor will launch on iOS and Android, with a closed beta test coming first. The game is already available for Android in certain regions through TapTap, a mobile gaming platform, but hopefully, soon it will be available on iOS as well as worldwide.

Immortal Mayor is, first and foremost, a town management simulator in the same vein as something like TheoTown or Townsmen, but it is unique in the fact that it has a Xianxia theme, which is a genre of Chinese fictional media that is usually set in a feudal era with elements of high fantasy. In the game, players will take on the role of a local God who guards the land. They will juggle making friends with other players (or Gods), as well as looking after the city's and its people's needs, building up your town from scratch using natural resources and living facilities.

Production especially plays a large part in these games, and typically involves some degree of management to your supply lines, assuring that your workers are gathering enough of what you need to make the buildings you need that will progress your town throughout its lifespan. As the God of the town, you must also assure all of your housing is comfortable and pleasing to look at so your citizens will remain happy, lest they become angry at you. Another unique function that comes with the particular setting this game is set in is the ability to use God powers, using magic to change locations of objects in the city alongside a collection of other spells.

As of right now, the closed beta test is only available for Android, but the developer has assured players that an iOS release is on the horizon. Judging by the Steam reviews, this is one you will want to keep your eye on if you enjoy the town simulator genre, so keep an eye out for updates on the beta testing phase!
