Is that a girlfriend app in your pocket, or are you just pleased to see me?

Anyone who’s ever had a girlfriend knows that it’s incredibly hard work, not least because recent changes in the law have granted women equal rights in things like voting, employment, and deciding whether or not they have children.

Thank goodness, then, for Premika LLC, the upstanding gentlemen whose misogyny simulator, iMaria, provides an alternative to living up to a real woman’s expectations.

The app gives users (or should that be playas?) the chance to control their own “sexy English girlfriend” - played effortlessly by Croation Playboy Playmate, Maria Eriksson.

Just as in a real relationship, you can choose what to do, and where to take her. Examples given in the press release span a diverse range of activities, including:

• Choose whether you go down to tan at the beach with Maria or stay in and watch TV
• Choose if she cooks for you or if you go out to dine with her
• Choose what she does while being at home

The blurb does not go on to state whether or not a string vest is provided, or if Maria will choose to seek refuge with Women’s Aid.

The iMaria interactive girlfriend app is available now from the App Store priced at 59p (99c, 79c). And even if future updates aren’t free as promised, she will still be significantly cheaper to maintain that a real woman.
