Hungry Horrors is coming to mobile, so help others eat before you get eaten

Cornish pasty, anyone?

Hungry Horrors is coming to mobile, so help others eat before you get eaten
  • Hungry Horrors is a roguelite deck builder coming to mobile
  • It's slated for a PC-first release but is coming to iOS and Android later this year
  • Feed authentic British monsters and make sure they're fed before they feed on you

The British Isles boast plenty of gruesome and imaginative beasties that infest its folklore and mythology. And now you can go about satiating their appetites, before they feed on you, in the upcoming iOS and Android release Hungry Horrors!

In Hungry Horrors your job is simple, feed your enemy before they feast on you. That means building up an extensive repertoire of dishes and learning exactly what each enemy, based on famous figures of folklore from British and Irish mythology, likes and dislikes.

For fans of British folklore (and those who like to dunk on UK cuisine alike) you'll find plenty of fascinating authentic touches here. Be it monsters such as the knucker, or more erm, unusual traditional culinary innovations such as the Stargazey Pie (yes, the pie with the fish heads in it).

Horrific Hunger

A little while back Dann mentioned the idea that the season of the port was upon us, and how developers and publishers were taking the idea of mobile as a platform for indies more seriously. I think that Hungry Horror is demonstrative of that, although the fact that it only really confirms that we will see it arrive on mobile at some point is still a bit of a letdown.

With the bevvy of familiar-looking monsters (at least for UK residents) and the addition of those always-interesting classic British dishes, I can see Hungry Horrors being a popular release for many fans of mobile roguelites. So hopefully we'll see it arrive sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, if you want to keep Ahead of the Game when it comes to top releases why not check out Catherine's feature of the same name? Or go Off the AppStore with Will to discover new releases that you can't find in all the usual mainstream places.
