In case you missed it, indie studio Wild Spark has announced the official launch of Hover League, letting players engage in multiplayer races while hovering across gorgeous landscapes. Part of what makes the game different from run-of-the-mill racing games is that a new unique track will be available every day, and players will be able to duke it out in a 1v1 challenge mode to put their hovering prowess to the test.

In Hover League, players will be grouped into a division of 30 players, and they'll be able to witness other players' races around the world. Rankings are based on an ELO system, and if you're eager to rise to the top of the charts, you'll need to be the fastest player within a division to rank up in Leagues.

The game also features a variety of customisation options along with 6 different Leagues to aim for. Plus, the masters behind the game include two craftsmen from the original Angry Birds, namely, Part Time Monkey founder Tuomas Erikoinen and Rovio Entertainment ex-VP Technology Miika Virtanen. With these talents at the helm of the two-man Finnish indie studio, the game is bound to be a hoot.
