The countdown has begun for the Honor of Kings World Cup 2025 - it kicks off next week in Riyadh as part of this year’s Esports World Cup, and it’s going to be massive. With a $3,000,000 prize pool on the line and the return of the Global Ban&Pick format, the world’s top teams are gearing up for a stretch of high-stakes matches.
The Honor of Kings World Cup 2025 begins with a group stage running from July 15th to 19th. Each group of four enters a double-elimination format played in best-of-three series. Group winners advance to the Group Kings stage, while runners-up get one last shot in the aptly named Last Chance bracket.
Group Kings and Last Chance matches both go down on July 20th, and from there, the eight final teams will be decided for the playoff bracket starting July 23rd. And this year, they won’t be alone as two KPL giants, AG.AL and TT Global, join directly in the playoffs. The Grand Finals arrive on July 26th and will be fought in a best-of-seven Ultimate Battle.
Group stage matchups are already confirmed. Group A features Blacklist International, BOOM Esports, Gen.G Esports, and Paws Gaming, while Group B pits Alpha7 Esports against Dominator Esports, Loops, and Team Vitality. Groups C and D round out the field with squads like Nova Esports, Twisted Minds, Nongshim Redforce, and OG Esports, setting the stage for riveting global clashes.

Off the battlefield, you can get in on the action with the KWC-themed Honor Pass, available now until August 28th. By completing missions, you can unlock cosmetics like the Nuwa-Syzygy Moonlight skin and, at level 80, an exclusive Alessio KWC skin. There’s also team voting, match predictions, and other in-app activities that bring the hype home.
