Honkai: Star Rail’s version 3.5 takes you 1,000 years into the past as the Amphoreus arc carries on
Existential dread always pairs well with cocktails

- Version 3.5 explores the second half of the Amphoreus arc
- Hysilens and Cerydra join as playable 5-star characters
- Explore a new map, mix drinks, and serve fairy food in other events
HoYoverse isn’t slowing down after that epic Fate/Stay Night collab in Honkai: Star Rail’s previous update. Version 3.5, titled Before Their Deaths, launches later this month, setting the stage for something serious with the second half of the Amphoreus arc. The update will send you a thousand years into the past while also letting you moonlight as a bartender once again.
Honkai: Star Rail’s upcoming update picks up right where version 3.4 left off. Your promise to Phainon sends you deeper into the Styxian mythology. The new Trailblaze Mission follows you and Cyrene back in time to the ancient city of Okhema, during the reign of Imperator Cerydra. The cycle of Eternal Recurrence is perfect for you if you enjoy cryptic prophecies and setting things on fire.
Version 3.5 will mark the debut of both Hysilens and Cerydra as playable 5-star characters. Hysilens, a Physical Nihility unit, thrives in DoT-heavy comps and shreds enemy Atk and Def within her Zone. Meanwhile, Cerydra, Wind Harmony and actual queen, is a buff-focused tactician whose allies get stronger the longer the battle lasts. Both of them should make handy additions to your roster.

And if you're looking for a character you might’ve missed, Stellar Jade, Kafka and Silver Wolf will rotate into the gacha lineup throughout 3.5. In addition, you can dive into the new Styxia, City of Infinite Revelry map where an intense showdown with Lygus takes place - a boss who can’t seem to settle on a single form of allegiance.

Finally, if you need a break from rewriting history, Chrysos Maze Grand Restaurant lets you serve fairy food, while Old Brews & New Friends brings you back behind the bar to catch up with familiar faces. Version 3.5 also adds a voice toggle for collab characters, letting you swap between dubbed and original VAs mid-session.
Honkai: Star Rail’s version 3.5 will release on August 13th.
