Hometown Story has made the shift from 3DS to iOS. The game is available to download right now from the App Store in the shape of Hometown Story Pocket.
It's now a free-to-play title, so it won't cost you anything to pick it up, but there are IAPs threaded through the game.
One of our main problems with the original 3DS release was that the Hometown Story felt more like a mobile release than a full-price handheld console title.
We gave it 6/10 at review and said "Hometown Story's a tough sell but will yield an investment of enjoyable, quick play sessions if you're patient."
Hopefully it offers something similar on the iPhone. You can grab Hometown Story Pocket from the App Store right now for nothing.
