Let's start simple - what is Energy?
Energy in Hollywood Merge is the number one resource you need to play the game. You spend Energy whenever you tap on a producing item (any box-type that creates mergeable items), where 1 Energy equals 1 random item from said producing item.In short, Energy is the resource that keeps you merging!
How to get more Energy in Hollywood Merge?
There are a few ways you can get more Energy, and I will list them all below.- Energy restores over time - 1 Energy point restores every 2 minutes.
- You can restore Energy by spending Rubies. The cost is incremental, starting at 10 Rubies per 100 Energy, then 20, 40, and so on.
- You can get Energy by popping the Energy Bottles you get from events and special producing items. Those Bottles are mergeable too.
- Whenever you level up, you can get additional Energy.
- When you vote in the OOTD contest, you can get extra Energy - also for sharing the OOTD.
As you can see, there are a ton of ways of getting more Energy. You just have to manage it well, since you need to spend a lot of it regularly the more you progress through the story. There will be times when you will run out of Energy, so you need to spend some time waiting for it to recharge, since spending Rubies on refills every single day (multiple times) is not feasible.
Tips for managing your Energy in Hollywood Merge
I recommend you prioritise merging the items you need for completing the quests/requests that grant you the most Coins. Those will also give you the most EXP, so levelling up will come naturally (and at a good pace).Avoid popping the items that you don't need right away, because they will just clutter up your board and you definitely don't want that. The moment your board fills up, you will need to store some items in the Closet, which has a limited space (and can only be expanded by spending a lot of Rubies).
