Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic, the sequel to the highly acclaimed game, is releasing later this year

Indie developers Rogueside have just announced a sequel to the critically acclaimed game, Hidden Through Time, a point-and-click puzzler which released on all major platforms back in 2020. Titled Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic, the game is already well into its development cycle and it is scheduled to release later this year.

Like its predecessor, Hidden Through Time 2 brings back the artsy, colourful and hand-drawn environments that are constantly on the move. Players will be tasked with locating hidden objects as they travel across the ages. The game expands on all the ideas and concepts of the first game while creating a more captivating experience for both new and old players.

Myths & Magic also brings numerous updates to the transformation and upgrade systems. Visuals and sounds have been significantly improved, with more fine-tuning possible through added customization options. The game feels more alive as players can use a vast array of tools available to them to create a highly immersive experience as they build the perfect world down to the smallest of details.

Describing how their game outcompetes others in the genre, Jacobein Van den Bergh, Marketing Manager, said: “The idea for Hidden Through Time originated from those “Where’s Waldo” books everyone had back when they were young. The key difference between us and competitors is the addition of a map editor, enabling the community to create and share their own maps, as well as play other’s creations. One of the big focuses for the sequel is customisation.”

While we don’t have a concrete release date for Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic, it’s due sometime this year itself. Currently, you can visit the official website for more information and join their Discord server to interact with other members of the community.
