Hello Kitty Island Adventure celebrates its two-year anniversary with the Friendship Festival
  • Hello Kitty Island Adventure is celebrating two years of friendship
  • Jump in to check out a host of amazing new events
  • It also celebrates the anniversaries of fan-favourite characters My Melody and Kuromi

As an Apple Arcade exclusive, Hello Kitty Island Adventure offers fans a great variety of things to do. In this Animal Crossing-like, you'll get to interact with hit Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty herself. It's little surprise then that they're celebrating two years of friendship with a host of new events!

This event doesn't just cover the anniversary of Hello Kitty Island Adventure, either. It also marks Kuromi's 20th and My Melody's 50th anniversaries. While My Melody's Friendship Festival is already underway, Kuromi also has something suitably more spooky planned.

From July 27th to August 23rd, you'll be able to venture out into the Spooky Swamp to find out what mischef Kuromi has been up to. By taking selfies, you can collect Friendship Charms that can then be exchanged at the Friendship Stage for Art Decor.

While it's a shame that those of you looking to check it out will be out of luck if you're not an Apple Arcade subscriber, Hello Kitty Island Adventure has undoubtedly captured the imaginations of Sanrio enthusiasts. So hopefully all this new stuff and the two-year anniversary mean we're closer than ever to a full mobile port.
