Blizzard announces huge Hearthstone expansion pack, The Grand Tournament
Out in August
Blizzard has announced a huge new expansion for addictive card battle Hearthstone. It's called The Grand Tournament, and it's out in August.
It's all about a contest in the frigid continent of Northrend, where heroes from across Azeroth will come together and figure out who is the greatest fighter. Or, at least, who is the best at laying down cards.
There will be 132 new cards in the expansion, a fresh board, and a new keyword.
Minions with the Inspire keyword have a special ability that is activated by using Hero Powers - so you can tell your followers to call reinforcements, restore health, and more.
You'll be able to win The Grand Tournament card packs in Hearthstone’s Arena mode, or buy them with in-game gold or real money (at the same prices as Hearthstone’s other card packs).
And, starting next week, you can pre-purchase a bundle of 50 card packs at a special one-time price of £34.99 on Android or £39.99 on iOS, and receive a unique themed card back.
Hearthstone obsessives can get loads more details on Blizzard's blog.
