Guardians of Elderon is a base building strategy game that's now in open beta for iOS

Guardians of Elderon is a free-to-play strategy game with RPG elements from Plug in Digital. It will release for iOS and Android sometime in 2023. For now, if you're an iOS user you can play Guardians of Elderon in open beta via TestFlight.

In Guardians of Elderon, you will create a base and decorate it to your liking. Once you're finished, the next step is to head out and attack other players' bases. Alternatively, you could tackle solo quests if you're not keen on tearing down other people's creations right away. On your travels, you might also find the Grand Forge, the Artefact Merchant, and the Shrine of Enlightenment to help bolster your strength.

If you do choose to attack other bases, you will need to prepare items, spells and Guardians. The latter are powerful heroes with battle-changing abilities. Of course, they will also have weaknesses you need to consider before sending them into a fight.

The aim of battling is, ultimately, to earn loot and Guardian Points. To earn this treasure, you must take over your opponent's Power Course and hijack their resource production. You can check out some Guardians of Elderon gameplay in the trailer above.

Naturally, if you can attack other players' bases, they can do the same to you. So, you will want to strategically place towers and traps within it to defend it from invaders. You can also expand your base by placing Towers and resource extractors near Power Cores.

If you want to learn more about Guardians of Elderon, head on over to its official website. Alternatively, if you've heard enough and want to get playing, you can become part of the game's beta for iPhone and iPad by downloading it through TestFlight.
