Indie developer J.E.Moores has released their latest project, a new arcade game that offers addictive, fast-paced mini-games and a full battle mode for short or extended sessions of play. Gomper hopes to fit into any part of your day, be it a lunch break or a long evening of boredom to cure.

The game revolves around the titular creatures, Gompers. They’re big, ugly, creepy kaiju-esque guys that have wings, tentacles, and just about any other appendage you can imagine. They specifically love to eat hamburgers, but when those run out, they’ll settle for the Podlings, the innocent little creatures beneath their feet. Your goal is to protect those Podlings and keep the population safe from the burger eating, tentacle bearing, wing unfurling monsters.

Included on launch are 4 mini-games of sorts, and the battle mode. On the minigame side, you’ve got 10v10, where you’ll protect 10 pods and use magic to fight off 10 Gompers coming to destroy them. Then there's Burgerball. This is a familiar basket-catching minigame, where you’ll use a basket to try to catch all the falling, you guessed it, burgers. And finally, 10v100. Take that previous description of 10v10, but put yourself against 100 Gompers. That’s right, 100 of the monsters coming for your Podlings. Good luck!

But we can’t forget the other two types of play, which are a little different. Burgermobile is a side-scrolling cart racer where you’ll bounce hamburgers up at the Gompers using a car to sate their hunger away from the Podlings. The other is The Great Burger Battle, a platformer battle. You’ll be running to the right on a scrolling screen, staying alive, kicking hamburgers, using that Podling magic, and endlessly running.

All of these lead to a very comedic and light-hearted arcade experience that is easy to play and hard to put down. If that sounds up your alley, you can find Gomper for free on the App Store and Google Play as well, with some optional cosmetic in-app purchases available as well.
