Golf Odyssey is a simple golf game that features an arcade aesthetic with an artsy flair to it. It also features some soothing music to go along with your gameplay. It's one of those games that is easy to pick up and play but can be tricky to master.

You play through different golf courses and there are 20 holes per course. Complete one course to unlock the next one. It's a pretty simple concept and is also a fun one too. However, you get only so many tries per hole to advance on the course.

As with many golf games, Golf Odyssey follows the tradition of real golf. You need to get the ball to the hole in as few shots as possible. So after a few tries and an extra shot, if you fail to convert, then you'll need to start from the first hole over again. But we'll give you a few tips to help you sink some shots.

Be Careful with your Power

The key in Golf Odyssey is judging your power off the tee. This normally is the case for most golf games but especially here. It's similar to games like Super Stickman Golf in its design and gameplay (except there's no stickman).

It can be very easy to overshoot your shots on each hole. And when you do overshoot the flag, then it's considered out of bounds and you start from the beginning of the hole again. You can appreciate the slight challenge that the game provides.

At the same time, it is a relaxing game to play also so you get the best of both worlds in some ways. Once you get comfortable with the power system, you'll be getting your share of hole-in-ones.

Aim Lower

You can however you please in Golf Odyssey, but going low might be a good way to start. When aiming high, you'll have an easier chance of hitting the ball over the hole like we talked about. So starting low is the safest bet to reaching the flag.

Now, I will say that going low can overshoot your shots too if you aren't careful. That said, there is more room for error to work with. You can take risks a bit better. You can roll the ball like a putt if you want to go about things that way.

Once you start getting more used to the shot system, then you can try and go for a lob shot if you so wish. The power meter can be tricky to judge at times so going low early on can help give you a bit of extra confidence on each hole.

Pay Attention to Shot Count

In Golf Odyssey, it's definitely a good idea to watch your shot count. You need to get the ball in the hole (or hit the flag essentially) in as few shots as possible of course, but it's slightly different here. You are given a limit on each hole.

For example, on hole one you need to hit the flag in two shots or less. When you're cruising along, it's easy to lost track of your progress. Not to mention that the game plays pretty fast due to its simplicity so again, you may lose track of things.

Stroke limit varies per hole so just remember how many you've taken. Early on, it'll be pretty easy to judge since there's a two-shot limit. There's no rush, so just take a gander at the top of your screen to see where you're at.
