If you've ever hid under your duvet from a monster in your bedroom then Go To Bed: Survive the Night will be a familiar experience.

It's a new "bedroom defence" game out now on iOS that involves tapping away shadowy creeps while you quiver yourself to sleep.

Each level is an hour (condensed into seconds) of the night after your mother has sent you to bed.

Your task in each of them is to tap on the hands and ghouls that try to reach the boy at the center.

While tapping maniacally might be a good tactic, it won't be forever, as some demons enjoy being tapped and will lead you to an early Game Over.

There are also light orbs to collect that give you special powers. Spiders can be squished too, and can then be spent on a comforting teddy bear, among other items, in the shop.

Rounded off with its hand-drawn children's book presentation, Go To Bed is a creepy, but not too creepy, treat out just in time for Halloween.

You can purchase it on the App Store for 69p / 99c right now.
