Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile goes on sale!
Erm... but only in the US for the moment
Grrr. We're eagerly awaiting the release of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved Mobile, and it turns out that those pesky Americans are getting their thumbs on it first!
The game, which is a conversion of Bizarre Creations' popular Xbox Live Arcade title, has just gone on sale in the US on operator Verizon Wireless' portal.
It can be played using four or eight-way buttons, and includes a whopping eight new gameplay modes, including Untouchable, Survivor, Monster, Trenches, Speeds, Multiplier, Feline, and Bomber. Plus there's online high-score rankings.
"The controls are intuitive and the visual style is true to the Geometry Wars world," says Martyn Chudley, managing director of Bizarre Creations. "The game has managed to capture the essence of the original game, whilst being tailor made for the strengths of the mobile platforms and their audience."
There's no update on a UK release, but we're crossing our fingers that the game will cross the Atlantic soon.
