Genshin Impact embraces the summer in version 5.8 as we head to Natlan’s Easybreeze Holiday Resort

After the version 5.7 update, Genshin Impact version 5.8 is ready to dive into full summer mode. Launching July 30th, Sunspray Summer Resort takes you to the shores of Natlan’s Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a brand new permanent map where spray paint puzzles, sun-soaked minigames, and the series' first Nod-Krai character all come together.
This vibrant island chain in Genshin Impact marks Natlan’s soft opening, with Bennett, Chasca, and Mualani returning for a laid-back adventure. Even Venti stops by, apparently to reconnect with an old friend. Helping you explore is Asha, the cheerful mascot who grants distinct traversal powers like hovering and skimming over water.
These should come in handy for uncovering secrets and tackling the tricky puzzles tucked across the multi-level resort. But beneath the island’s summery charm lies the dormant threat of Bakunawa, the Mare Jivari’s legendary creature waiting deep underground. On your journey, you’ll also meet Ineffa, a 5-star Electro polearm user who kicks off the Song of the Welkin Moon storyline. Built by the mysterious Aino of Nod-Krai, she brings the new Lunar-Charged reaction into play. Her deployable unit, Birgitta, adds even more punch in battle, dashing through enemies and syncing with Thunderclouds for bonus AoE Electro damage.
Furthermore, summer events are baked into the resort. From rhythm parties and water skirmishes to buddy missions with Kau Kau and Akamai, you’ll collect Sunspray Spirit to unlock the 4-star Claymore Flame-Forged Insight and Bennett’s new look, Adventures in Blazing Hue. Yelan also sneaks back in with a fresh Fontaine-inspired outfit and special investigation tools.
And to top it off, the update introduces new system upgrades as well, such as smart material tracking, auto-time navigation for quests, and new tutorial videos built into character pages to help you get the most out of the growing roster.
