Genshin Impact reveals events preview for phase one of version 4.0 ahead of its launch

We’re just a day away from the release of Genshin Impact’s massive version 4.0 update, As Light Rain Falls Without Reason. It is set to bring tons of content to the popular adventure RPG, including the highly-anticipated Fontaine region alongside a trio of powerful siblings, boss battles, and thrilling underwater encounters.

Event Wishes

Genshin Impact v4.0 will, as usual, be divided into two segments, with the first phase going live tomorrow. It features three event wishes, which will raise the drop rate of the following characters until September 5th:

• Conjuring Chiaroscuro – 5-star Lyney (Pyro) and 4-star Lynette (Anemo)
• Discerner of Enigmas – 5-star Yelan (Hydro) and 4-star Lynette (Anemo)
• Epitome Invocation – 5-star The First Great Magic Bow and Aqua Simulacra Bow

Gameplay Events

The Mega Meka Melee event goes live on August 24th and can be unlocked by players above AR20 after completing the Song of the Dragon and Freedom Archon Quest. It sees travellers take part in several activities in order to earn the Enigmatic Copper Mansprings, which can be exchanged for Crown of Insight and Primogems and the ability to invite Bennett (Pyro).

Number two on the list is Relic Records: Creation of the Hydro Nation. It’s more of an exploratory mission, which takes players on an underwater journey for the first time in Genshin Impact. The event becomes available from August 28th and provides Primogems, Hero’s Wit, and Weapon Ascension Materials on completion.
