Genshin Impact's Summertime Odyssey event is now live featuring new Surfpiercer and Phantom Realm challenges
Genshin Impact’s latest update, v2.8 titled Summer Fantasia recently went live and the first phase of the update has already kicked off with a bang. Players can now participate in the Summertime Odyssey event that will be available until the end of version 2.8. The event sees Fischl receive an extremely important message, which requires him and a bunch of others to depart immediately and embark on a glorious adventure.
As with every event, let’s talk about the eligibility criteria first. Players must be at least Adventure Rank 32 and should have completed Archon Quest Chapter Two’s prologue and Mona’s Story Quest Astrolabos Chapter One Act One. As the event progresses, players will unlock the Surfpiercer and Phantom Realms while completing multiple challenges that will grant rewards such as Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and Mora.
The Surfpiercer Challenge, like its name suggests, has players cut through the water as they enter the Waverider and follow golden trackers to reach a set destination. Certain special bonuses such as speed boosts and the ability to find hidden shortcuts will also be unlocked on the journey. The Phantom Realms are the showstoppers of the event. Genshin Impact’s Summertime Odyssey will take players on a journey through different realms in which they will explore and complete challenges to unlock handsome rewards.
In Misty Hills, Foggy Vales, players will use a special Flowing Leaflasher move on enemies as they go around collecting random Verdure for extra power. The Islands’ Stirring Strings sees a land covered with Allegro Blooms and Tremolo Flowers which can be used for traversal and offence. Immernachtreich Keep gives travellers random Nachtraben’s Regard bonuses while the final realm, Temple of the Star Latitudes features astronomical sign-based puzzles that must be solved alongside beating foes.
