Genshin Impact joins the flood of Gamescom news with character reveal and offline experience
Making an impact

- Genshin Impact took to the big screen at Gamescom Opening Night Live
- The newest trailer showcases the upcoming character Flins
- Offline experiences at the event have teased a new location, Nod-Krai
If you're lucky enough to be attending the Gamescom conference in Cologne, or watched Opening Night Live yesterday, then you'll already be aware that Genshin Impact has had a major influence. A brand-new trailer teasing their latest character and a new offline experience has Genshin Impact making a major impact (sorry) on attendees.
The latest character, in this case, is none other than Flins. This major new addition is set to debut in the next annual expansion. A lantern-wielding warrior, Flins has quite the dour look about him, but this brooding menace looks to be more than capable of laying waste to all manner of enemies.
By what's indicated in the gameplay trailer, Flins looks to wield a polearm and have plenty of AoE damage abilities. No doubt there are those of you who are big enthusiasts and are already looking at where to play him on Genship Impact tier lists.

Major impact
Given that they're apparently going for the tune $500k, it's no surprise that the trailer is the big news here from Gamescom. But Flin's on-screen debut was accompanied by an offline experience that attendees will already have seen, with a booth wholly dedicated to showing off Nod-Krai, the newest upcoming major region.Gamescom will also see a number of stage shows, cosplayers and activities that are showing off Genshin Impact. Given that E3 is now a distant memory, it's not hard to see that MiHoYo is accompanying the growth of its overseas branded experiences with major new appearances at events like Gamescom.
