Genshin Impact’s newest Enkanomiya region features multiple new mechanisms to explore, mythical creatures to encounter, and formidable enemies to fight
Genshin Impact’s latest update introduced the sunken nation of Enkanomiya for players to explore. Enkanomiya is a large floating island that was once inhabited by Watatsumi Island ancestors, now under Sangonomiya, constantly being eroded by the Abyss. The v2.4 update opens this massive region to players where they will learn secrets, unlock treasures, and fight against some fearsome enemies.
To access this region, players must be ranked 30 or above, and complete the Archon Quest Chapter II: Act III and the World Quests The Still Water's Flow and The Moon-Bathed Deep. Enkanomiya receives zero natural light because the concept of day and night does not exist here. Instead, a cyclical variation between Whitenight and Evernight takes place. Using special mechanisms that are connected to the Dainichi Mikoshi, an artificial sun-like object created by the ancient inhabitants, transitions between Whitenight and Evernight can be made.
Numerous other phenomena seem to be happening throughout Enkanomiya like Sunfire Phantasms and Daisies of the Day and Night. Players can also obtain Key Sigils and interact with beautiful Ghostfish on this mysterious island.
Enkanomiya is also home to mythical creatures that have never been seen before in Genshin Impact. Players will encounter Floating Rays in the skies, they can catch strange cartilaginous fish like Divda Rays and Formalo Rays at new fishing points, and also find an amphibious fish called Deep Sea Unagi. Unagis are slightly tougher to find and are available in different colours as well.
Not everyone is friendly here. New elemental Specters can be found all over Enkanomiya, but the bigger threat is the Bathysmal Vishap. These monstrous predators hide in the pitch-dark watery depths waiting for prey to show up. A mysterious energy allows them to use elements other than hydro, making them much harder to beat. Tread carefully as danger lurks at every corner. Also, check out the top RPG games to play on mobile!
