Genshin Impact's 2022 Concert is set to hit YouTube next week
Hoyoverse has a series of events lined up for Genshin Impact players as the current update is about to conclude, and its successor, version 3.1 – King Deshret and the Three Magi is set to launch as well. By the time we’re in the midst of it next week, another massive celebration is planned, and it’s something fans have been waiting for.
Finally, after a bit of a wait, the Genshin Concert is back for its 2022 edition and this one is titled Melodies of an Endless Journey. This year’s event will feature a collaboration between HOYO-MiX and the extremely popular composer, arranger, and music producer Shiro Sagisu, alongside the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra and loads of other talented artists. The aim is to commemorate two years of Teyvat’s musical landscape.
Describing the Genshin Concert, Yu-Peng Chen, Composer and Music Producer of HOYO-MiX, said: "Creating music for Genshin Impact has always been an endless exploration for me and the HOYO-MiX team. In the past year, as Inazuma and Sumeru unfolded, we've strived to enrich the Genshin Impact music with inspirations drawn from all over the world. I'm excited to see how these soundtracks resonate with musicians and players across the world."
Let’s go over some of the specifics of the concert. It will begin on October 2nd at noon (UTC+8) and will last for 75 minutes. The concert can be viewed on Genshin Impact’s official YouTube channel. Players can expect to read renditions and adaptations of beloved soundtracks from the game.
Eímear Noone, already popular in the video game world will raise the bar as she will be conducting the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra herself and Shiro Sagisu of course, is going to lend his awesomeness to the event too. He will team up with other bands, folk musicians, and artists from different backgrounds to recreate Genshin’s lovely music in contemporary style.
