Tetris-cum-Bejeweled-cum-Indiana Jones puzzler Gem Spinner II: Water Quest crashes onto the iPhone, washing up on Android within days

Tiny Bite Games has released a free sequel to its match-three puzzler Gem Spinner.

Gem Spinner II: Water Quest offers the same innovative swap, drag, and spin gameplay as its predecessor, but sees you traverse the world to uncover gems and restore artefacts to their former glory.

The game features 50 levels across five locations, such as the Aztec jungle, and two game modes – Timed and Casual.

The latter of which removes all time limits, and gives you unlimited hints.

Each level contains a possible four stars for you to earn, which, in turn, will unlock an elusive 'perfect play award'. Well, providing you're good enough.

Dry off

According to the app's description, further destinations and levels are set to be included in future updates.

You can grab Gem Spinner II: Water Quest from the App Store as a Universal app for free, but it does contain a 69p / 99c / €0.79 in-app purchase.
