The most interesting part of this announcement is that it’s another addition to the rarely mentioned but quietly successful G123 platform. This new way of playing mobile games seeks to bridge the gap between mobile and home computers, utilizing a way of playing that is entirely based on your browser. This makes it extremely easy to play games on G123 either on your own PC or right in your pocket!
With that in mind, the other most interesting part is surely the fact that Gate is receiving attention in such a form. It’s a fairly cult-classic anime series, not on par with industry giants like Attack on Titan or Bleach, but still remains a staple within the isekai genre for mixing real-world conflict with the high fantasy aesthetics that anime adores.
That particular point of Gate that makes it so endearing will be right in this new game as well, allowing players to experience the fantastical isekai realm as well as the modern-day too. You’ll be able to meet characters from the series and interact with them, as well as take part in their fights too.
How all the gameplay will work is unclear as of right now, as we only have a small amount of info thus far. Still, it’s quite exciting to see an anime like Gate receive a playable adaptation, especially one that’s available on G123. If you’re interested, you can currently pre-register on its G123 page right now!
