Garena's Free Fire anime gets first-look preview showing off the upcoming adaptation
Gone 2D

- Garena Free Fire has shown off our first glimpse of the upcoming anime adaptation
- It features Kelly, a recognisable character from the series, and plenty of dynamic movement
- We also now know of the series director, studio and composers working on the adaptation
While the so-called curse of video game adaptations has long come and gone, I think we'd all agree that ever since Arcane, developers have suddenly looked at the idea of bringing their series to the screen in a new light. Case in point the glut of new planned mobile adaptations, like Clash of Clans, Honor of Kings and now our first look at the Free Fire anime!
If you're expecting lots of shooty-shooty-bang-bang action then you might be a bit disappointed. This preview focuses squarely on Kelly, one of the more recognisable characters in Free Fire, and showcases plenty of dynamic movement (one of the key features of Free Fire).
Aside from that, it's very vague in terms of plot and-slash-or structure. But if you were looking for assurance that this would be a high-quality production, then the animation courtesy of Candy Box (the folks behind the Blue Archive anime) will put those fears to bed.

For anime fans, there's also plenty of new info to sift through. The series will be directed by Ken Takahashi who served as animation director on Ragna Crimson and Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya. While music will be produced by Sus4 Inc, with the trailer featuring the theme song that reimagines some key musical stings from Free Fire itself.Good or bad, however, you can't doubt how beautiful the Free Fire anime looks. And fans will be able to enjoy it across the globe when it's broadcast worldwide in the near future.
