Game of Legends: Dragons Rise, a new fantasy strategy game, opens early access for Android

Developer FingerFun Limited Studio, the creator behind titles such as One Punch Man: The Strongest and KOF '98 UM OL, announced and soft-launched its new strategy-based game entitled Game of Legends: Dragons Rise today. The game takes place on the fictional lands of Arkadia, where Legends fight against Sinister Monsters to survive.

Sporting lovely high-definition 3D graphics and a super high-fantasy setting, Game of Legends is certainly already doing well in the looks department. As you travel through Arkadia’s diverse biomes, grand castles, and fight epic battles, you’ll start to see how much the art style truly allows that high-def polish to pop. But what will this beautiful game truly play like?

Well, being a strategy title, Game of Legends will mostly play from a top-down perspective as you control and order numerous units around the battlefield, taking advantage of terrain, various tactics, and manoeuvres to outsmart your opponents. As you begin, you’ll take up the mantle of supporting one of the five factions within the game world and venture out into the world alongside them to meet new unique races that you can recruit into your army.

Add in a castle-management style portion of your usual gameplay loop similar to Clash of Clans or an adjacent game, and you’ve got a recipe for addiction on your hands. Of course, your battles won’t be fought alone, as you can also group up with your friends and form alliances to go to war together, allowing you and your friends to truly strategize your next fight and come out on top.

As for the previously mentioned soft launch, Game of Legends has launched in an early access state exclusively on Google Play. This means that the game might be lacking some of the promised features, and is more in a testing state for the future full release. If you’d like to test it out and also potentially provide useful feedback for the developers before launch, give it a shot!
