Fortnite's v22.10 hotfix introduces the messy Explosive Goo Gun and two more items

Last week, Epic Games released the version 22.10 content update for Fortnite, Chapter 3: Season 4: Paradise’s first. It introduced this season’s much-awaited Super Styles, the new Cobra DMR, and Holo-Chests. While the update is out, not everything that is supposed to be a part of it was available. Epic has just dropped a hotfix for v22.10, which adds three more items, two new while the third is a returning item that players have longed for.

Explosive Goo Gun

Fortnite’s Island was already getting messy thanks to the Chrome that is out to consume everything. And if that silvery coating wasn’t enough, the Explosive Goo Gun is here to cover things up. Firing this gun at targets will cover them with a volatile substance that sticks to them and then explodes after a few seconds.

It’s kind of like the Sticky Bombs that were in fashion back during Chapter one, just in gun form now. Do note that there is no extra ammo for this gun so it's rendered useless once used. Until v22.20 launches, the gun will have a much higher drop rate.

Throwable Launch Pads

Now, this has been an extremely requested item and it looks like Epic has heard everyone’s wishes. The Throwable Launch Pad works just like the regular, with the extra utility of being able to throw it to deploy a base on the go. It instantly creates the structure off which players can bounce off. Similar to the Port-A-Bunker, the launch pad will occupy an inventory slot.

Shield Bubbles

The third and final item is the unvaulted Shield Bubble. Caught in a crossfire between two squads? Then a breather or have to revive teammates? Just drop the Shield Bubble to prevent all incoming damage. Enemies can, of course, just waltz in and shoot you, so never let your guard down.

Start messing around with these new items by downloading Fortnite now for free through the official website or via XCloud.
