Fortnite x Dragon Ball Super is back with new outfits featuring Gohan and Piccolo and a bunch of new augments
| Fortnite Battle Royale
As Epic Games’ previous announcement stated, Fortnite would once again be collaborating with Dragon Ball. This time, the partnership is based on the recent Super series, particularly the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie with Gohan and Piccolo at the helm. Lots of stuff from the beloved anime comes to the battle royale.
From the last crossover, the Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud ate both back and will be found in capsules which will appear more frequently as the storm progresses. Be prepared to see the ultimate battle between the Deku Smash from the My Hero Academia collab and now the Kamehameha. Additionally, the Dragon Ball Adventure Island with all iconic POIs also returns.
Let’s move on to what most people will be on the lookout for – new cosmetics. Yes, there are new ones but it is kinda disappointing as only Gohan and Piccolo outfits have been added and no other characters from the movie. Piccolo can charge himself up to his Power Awakening version from the movie but unfortunately, Gohan can only go Super Saiyan and not into the Beast Mode as seen in the film.
Other accessories include Gohan’s Cape Back Bling, Beast Axe Pickaxe, and the Capsule No. 576 Glider and Piccolo’s Cape and Turban Back Bling, Demon Symbol Back Bling, Handheld House Pickaxe, and the Red Ribbon Army Aircraft Glider. They’re also really teasing the forms these two achieve from the movie because Orange Piccolo and Gohan Beast will be featured in Fortnite, but only as Sprays.
On a separate note, the update also introduced five new augments and here’s a look at them:
- Rift-Ejector Seat – Shield breakage will lead to players being rifted into the sky
- Shadow Striker – Containers will contain Shadow Bombs
- Icy Slide – Brief icy speed boost after sliding
- Harvester – Destroyed foliage will drop Big Bush Bombs and forgeables
- Mythic Munition – Obtain a mythic pistol
