Fortnite's content-packed collaboration with the Dragon Ball franchise is officially live

Fortnite’s power level just rose to over 9000 because the much-awaited collaboration with the Dragon Ball series has finally launched and there is so much to look forward to. It brings loads of iconic skins and cosmetic items, tonnes of quests, a new versus board, tournaments, and so much more.

Everything about the collab will be part of the Power Unleashes tab that will keep track of all the quests and rewards. Since there are seven Dragon Balls, there are missions that will test various skills and will ultimately unlock Shenron, albeit as a Glider, Back Bling, Emote, and Spray. All of these quests will be available until August 30th.

Tasks aside, the main attraction of this crossover is all the cosmetics in the Item Shop. Kicking things off is obviously everyone’s favourite Son Goku, who comes with all his forms as alt-styles that include Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Blue, and Ultra Instinct. Next is the proud Saiyan Prince Vegeta also with his Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue styles. Then, we also have Goku’s first friend Bulma and the God of Destruction Beerus. And, of course, there is the Nimbus Cloud Glider, and Fusion Emote.

On the Island itself, players will be able to fight each other with the Versus Board that temporarily replaces the Bounty Boards. Everyone can also do the super iconic Kamehameha as Capsule Corp deliveries will keep dropping from the sky. Like the leaks suggested, the Kame House POI will be off the mainland too, where Bulma is waiting to meet everyone. Additionally, for a whole month, players will be able to watch select Dragon Ball Super episodes on various Creative Islands.

Beginning August 18th, the Tournament of Power, which comes from the Dragon Ball Super competition of the same name will go live as well, providing themed rewards to everyone. From August 19th another whole Dragon Ball adventure will begin with famous locations like Kami’s Palace, Goku’s House, and the Room of Spirit and Time popping up. A PvP Tenkaichi Budokai battle arena will also be made, which is something I’m personally very excited about.

Begin raising your power level now by downloading Fortnite via the official website or play using XCloud.
