Foolish Mortals lets players give the point-and-click game a go with a playable demo on Steam

The official demo for Inklingwood Studios' point-and-click adventure game Foolish Mortals is now live on Steam, giving players the chance to get their hands on the upcoming title before it lands on mobile next year. In just 24 hours since its Kickstarter campaign was launched, the game has already hit its funding goal and is now going full steam ahead to reach its stretch goals. This includes additional puzzles, animations, backgrounds, translations and more.

In Foolish Mortals, players can look forward to getting to the bottom of things across the mysterious and macabre world of Devil's Rock as inspired by genre greats such as Monkey Island and Broken Sword. Players will step into the shoes of Murphy McCallan on the hunt for the lost treasure of Bellemore Manor.

According to the official press release, "Foolish Mortals started by wondering what it would be like to step out of your Doombuggy on Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. And inspired by that theme park origin, we've teamed up with theme park scent company AromaPrime, providers of themed smells to attractions including LEGOLAND and Madame Tussauds to produce a collection of scents inspired by the game: SPECTRAL SCENTS OF THE DEVIL'S ROCK PARFUMERIE! For the first time since Leather Goddesses of Phobos' scratch 'n' sniff card in 1986 and Leisure Suit Larry 7’s CyberSniff 2000, you'll actually be able to smell a point & click adventure!"

Foolish Mortals will land on PC, Switch, iOS and Android next year, but the playable demo is available on Steam right now. You can also join the community of followers over on the official Twitter page to stay updated on all the latest developments.
