Well known in the UK, and Europe, as an online takeaway service provider Just-Eat released its first iOS game in late 2010.

And now it's back again with its signature characters Belly and Brain in a classic casual game experience.

Food Chain is a match-3 game that has you matching different food symbols by moving and swapping blocks horizontally before the uprising blocks get to the top of the game grid.

Table for two

Bringing a further level of strategy, you play against six AI opponents, who will send grey blocks onto your grid, making your job much harder.

Of course, you can also send blocks back to them, and the game also has an internet-enabled two-way multiplayer mode, which uses Game Center for friend or auto-matching. Alternatively, if you're playing on an iPad, you can challenge another player using with the split screen tabletop Versus mode.

Other single player modes include Endless and Time Attack, and there's a link to Just-Eat's website if you want to order a quick takeaway while you'll playing.

Food Chain is free and out now for iPhone and iPad as a universal app. It will also be coming to Android soon.
