Play acorn golf in quirky iPhone trajectory game Floop
Angry seed
There are plenty of trajectory games flicking onto the iPhone at the moment, but you've probably finished Angry Birds by now right?
So while checking on the free Belly & Brain (recommended), it's time to move onto something new.
Floop, from indie developer Blacksmith Games, might be that game. Certainly it's quirky in terms of theme. You have to flick an acorn into the gapping mouth of a huge squirrel in as few flicks a possible.
Gauge the apogeeAs per usual, there are plenty of obstacles to overcome, in terms physical objects such as blocks, hinges, pinball bouncers and moving platforms. There's also helpful items such as cannon, which you can use to fire you over longer distances.
There are 50 levels across four themes - beach, office, supermarket, sport - and as you progress and win stars for your exploits, you'll be offered the chance to swap characters: instead, firing cheese into the mouth of a mouse, or a banana at an ape.
Floop is out now, priced 99c, €0.79 or 59p.
You can see how it plays in the following video.
