Fire Emblem: Heroes introduces an assortment of brand new heroes to collect on its New Year's Banner, including two fan favorites

The incredibly popular tactical RPG gacha game Fire Emblem: Heroes, based on the franchise of the same name, has revealed some information on its New Year's Banner, otherwise known as the latest heroes being added to the game. These heroes are all brand-new to the game, and given that 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit, this one has some thematically appropriate additions coming our way.

Fire Emblem: Heroes is Nintendo’s adaptation of the legendary JRPG franchise to mobile devices, featuring grid-based combat and a roster of easily over a hundred different characters, each from a different entry into the Fire Emblem series. Utilising each of their unique skills, you’ll create a party to do battle against both PvE and PvP enemies alike, building your favourite units up and making them capable of tackling even the most difficult foes.

During the nearly five years the game has been out, it’s seen an abundance of content, usually coming in the form of Books, which basically act as different portions of the main story. With the new Book 6 on the horizon, this banner features a bunch of characters that will be introduced within this storyline.

While those are all fun and well, the two additions fans are most excited about are the animalistic Panne and Yarne, both from Fire Emblem: Awakening. They’re appropriately bunny-themed according to The Year of the Rabbit, while also being a beloved duo from one of the most highly regarded entries into the franchise. You’ll be able to roll for both of them as well as the other new units upon this New Year's Banner.
