Final Fantasy VI update brings controller support, virtual D-pad adjustments

Square Enix has saw fit to update the Silver Award-winning JRPG Final Fantasy VI on iOS and Android with controller support.

The iOS App Store description specifies that it's the Logitech PowerShell Controller that is now supported.

However, Touch Arcade reports that the Steel Series Stratus also works with the game, and possibly other controllers.

On Google Play, however, it just says "Gamepad support has been added," and says to see below for a list of supported gamepads that isn't there. So that's handy.

Other than that, the update also sees the virtual D-pad redesigned for easier control. And the battle command system has new "Tab (Left) and Tab (Right)" navigational modes.

Lastly, language support for Russian, Portugese, and Thai has been added.

You can purchase Final Fantasy VI for £10.99 / $15.99 on the App Store [buy] and Google Play [buy].
