What's next for Nexus - 4 things Google might announce at today's press event
Marshmallow! Nexus 5X! Nexus Watch!

Google is holding a press event today and it's rumoured that a few delicious announcements are going to be made.
Something marshmallow-flavoured, perhaps?
There's also the possibility that Google will finally reveal to us what's next for its Nexus range of products, and when and where we can pre-order such things.
We've rounded up all of the rumours and thrown in a bit of speculation of our own to bring to you these four things Google might announce at this evening's press event.
Marshmallow - Definitely
Remember Android Muffin? Well, it turns out it was never really called Muffin and was, in fact, Marshmallow all along.
And no, Google is not developing a range of smart sweets. It's the name of the new update for the Android operating system, silly.
New features include Android Pay, larger Google Now integration, more control over app permissions, fingerprint support, a doze mode to save on battery life, easier file sharing, a floating toolbar, improved volume controls, Chrome custom tabs, and USB type C support.
A pretty extensive update this time around then.
Nexus 5 2 / 5X - Probably

The long-awaited successor to Google's most popular phone to date, the Nexus 5 2 (or 5X) could well be on its way if the rumours are true.
It's believed that LG is once again responsible for development and that it will be a return to Google's budget option roots so you can expect to pay a lot less than you did for the Nexus 6.

Another one doing the rumour rounds is a Huawei-developed follow-up to the Nexus 6, Google's 2014 debut phablet offering.
The Nexus 6 2, or 6P, is supposedly a premium option for those with bigger wallets and even larger needs.
New Nexus tablet - Unlikely.jpg)
A Nexus tablet has launched alongside every Nexus phone since the third generation Nexus 4 back in 2012 but that could all change this year as talk of a new tablet has been, well, non-existent.
That doesn't mean Google doesn't have a surprise up its sleeve but it's more likely that the Nexus 6P phablet is the replacement.
It makes sense given the lacklustre reception to Google's HTC-designed Nexus 9 and the alarming slide in general tablet sales this year.
Nexus Watch - Unlikely
Speaking of surprises, how about the announcement of the first ever Google Nexus watch?
It wouldn't be that surprising. Apple launched the first ever Apple Watch this year, after all, and Google might fancy a piece of that pie.
Android Wear launched back in March 2014, so Google has had plenty of time to grow accustomed to the watch space and now would be as good a time as ever to launch its own flagship device.
