Are facebook games eating up your mobile gaming time?
|

It's the time of the week we've all been waiting for. But before you settle into your weekend, spare a few cells and synapses for our forum, which gets awfully lonely when you are all off having fun during your days off.

Especially seeing as this week's topic is all about the things you do at your desk to stave off thinking about that pile of paper work you can see glowering at you out of the corner of your eye.

There's no denying the greatness of some facebook applications, mostly because lots of them were already very successful mobile games before they found their way over to the social networking leviathan.

There's Tower Bloxx, Galaxy on Fire and of course the nearly peerless Reset Generation, as well as countless others, making facebook a bottomless repository of five-minute fun and boredom killing (a.k.a. work avoiding) distractions.

But it's all time spent idling minutes and hours away with casual gaming, and there's only so much time anyone can spend a day doing that. So the question is, is facebook a threat to mobile gaming?

Does playing Tower Bloxx on facebook sate your casual appetite enough to mean you have no energy left for the mobile version by the time you hit the bus? Or does it spur you on to beat your handheld score after practicing online?

This one's already spurned a healthy debate in the forum so get over there and join in the discussion – newcomers are always very welcome!

Okay, transmission over. Have a good weekend.
