Empires & Puzzles welcomes the holiday season into the match-3 RPG with two seasonal events

Zynga is bringing on the holiday cheer this season as Empires & Puzzles launches its Christmas update. The match-3 RPG is running two seasonal events until January 1st next year, adding Santa’s Challenge and Challenge Festival to give players more reasons to stay merry this month.

Empires & Puzzles' Santa’s Challenge is back with a vengeance, welcoming the return of classic Christmas heroes along with a new 5-star event hero, Mr. Pengi. The event will also welcome three new holiday costumes for players to enjoy, which includes Santa Claus, Mother North and Krampus.

Meanwhile, players will also be able to join in on all the winter festivities throughout the month, especially in the 72 PvE stages with varying levels of difficulty. Moreover, the Challenge Festival is combining five well-loved challenge events, namely, Pirates of Corellia, Guardians of Teltoc, Knights of Avalon, Fables of Grimforest and Riddles of Wonderland.

To top it all off, a new summon gate is coming that will allow players to meet characters from past challenge events. You can also simply stroll through the game's official Facebook page to score goodies by completing weekend challenges and puzzles. For instance, you might have to complete a puzzle with a photo of Rock Santa, or you'll need to figure out which glass from a photo of Eggnog delights will fill up first. Winners will receive in-game goodies like gems (and bragging rights).

If you're keen on joining in on all the holiday festivities, you can download Empires & Puzzles on the iOS App Store or on the Google Play Store for Android devices. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
