Eat the Rich gets release date pushed back to later this year
  • Eat the Rich has been pushed back to a September 10th release date
  • It'll release for mobile and other platforms shortly after
  • The social deduction experience is set in a future where billionaires are at the mercy of the masses

There's a lot to be said for the concept and execution of Eat the Rich, the upcoming social deception multiplayer experience. But for the moment, we'll have to wait to see whether our observations bear out, because its PC, and more importantly, mobile release have been pushed back to later this year.

Eat the Rich is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the ultra-rich have weathered the collapse of society, but now find themselves at the mercy of those they once profited off. Forced to duke it out in a deadly game show, it's winner takes all, no matter how little that may be.

While the concept may seem very self-indulgent given the rather poor reputation of the super-rich nowadays, it did have the genuine appeal of being a social deduction puzzler while being jam-packed with plenty of Squid Game-style side-activities to thin the herd, so to speak and keep things at a smooth and deadly pace.

Eating well

While the buzz for Eat the Rich has been fairly quiet from my perspective, I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few of you are disappointed to see it pushed back. Eat the Rich has an intriguing premise, coupled with the ever-popular mechanic of social deduction and some Mario Party-inspired mini-games added to the mix.

At the same time, as always, things aren't delayed for no reason. So, ideally, we'll be getting an even more polished product when Eat the Rich hits PC September 10th and mobile shortly after.

And if you fancy trying to outsmart friends and strangers alike, why not check out some top releases inspired by the one that kickstarted the modern trend? We've ranked the top 7 mobile games like Among Us to let you experience all the intrigue, hilarity and scares that come with social deduction.
