Far east

- EA Sports FC Mobile is coming to Shanghai for its top esports competitions
- Fans can expect a mixture of fast-paced esports action and entertainment
- It marks the second year of esports competitions for the mobile release
If you're a fan of football and mobile gaming, then you'll want to keep an eye on the price of tickets to Shanghai this year. That's because EA Sports FC Mobile's esports competitions, the FC Pro Champions Cup and FC Pro Mobile Festival, are set to make their way to Shanghai for their second year!
Having debuted back in 2024, the FC Pro Champions Cup, which runs from September 9th to 12th, and the FC Pro Mobile Festival running from September 13th to 14th, all present an exciting mixture of esports action and entertainment. Or at least, that's the hope.
The FC Pro Champions Cup format will present a much more traditional esports setup, with the top six competitors in the region making their way through group stages and playoffs for a shot at the biggest slice of $60,000 prize money.

A festivus for the rest of us
The FC Pro Mobile Festival is a bit more of an interesting beast. Bringing together players from China, Southeast Asia, Europe and beyond. Ten teams with one pro player and one 'creator' take on round robin play during the first day to qualify for day two.On day two, only a single duo can win, with a slice of a $5,000 prize pool. Alongside the gameplay itself, fans can apparently expect plenty in the way of entertainment. And with EA seemingly spreading its wings post-FIFA, it may well be that we'll be hearing about these competitions many times in the future.
Speaking of which, while FC Mobile may still rule the roost, there are plenty of other great options for sports enthusiasts out there. Why not dig into our list of the best sports games on Android to see what we've picked from the vast roster of those available?
