Dungeons of Dreadrock teases details about Episode 2, coming to mobile later this year

Christoph Minnameier has officially announced some juicy tidbits of news for Dungeons of Dreadrock, the solo dev's pixel-art puzzle adventure. In particular, Episode 2 is currently in the works, with a target launch date of sometime in December this year.

In case you're unfamiliar with the title, Dungeons of Dreadrock has already garnered more than a million players since its initial launch a year ago. It's also been hailed as one of the Top 10 iOS metacritic games 2023 and Top 100 switch games 2023; plus, it proudly boasts a Google IGF Europe win under its belt.

If that sounds like a lot of accolades for a seemingly little game that could, there's more - the game was just recently added to Google Play Pass, and features multi-language localisations for 18 languages.

For the Nintendo Switch, on the other hand, there will be a free demo along with a localisation patch to be launched this month. As for Episode 2 titled “The Dead King’s Secret”, players can expect a hundred new levels along with a new protagonist and a fresh narrative, with music crafted by the choir "Clamavi de Profundis” (you can check out their music on YouTube).

You can also check out the store pages and get a headstart by downloading Dungeons of Dreadrock on the iOS App Store and on the Google Play Store for Android devices. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
