Win a spot on the Pocket Gamer Wall of Game Fame by beating one of its writers at a range of games

| Disc Drivin'

Do you fancy beating one of the Pocket Gamer writers at a range of handheld games and cementing a place on the PG Wall of Game Fame?

If you do, you've come to the right place.

If you have the skills to do the unthinkable, you'll be admired by the entire gaming community, have your pick of the ladies at clubs, and get free drinks when you go out on the town.

Okay, so maybe the complimentary cocktails and no pants parties won't actually happen, but if you still want to give it a go, read on.

The formula

From time to time, Pocket Gamer will choose a game and invite you to challenge one of its staff. Mainly me.

You'll have a set period of time to punch, kick, elbow, and generally beat the stuffing out of the chosen writer.

If you are victorious, you will earn a spot on the aforementioned, and highly prestigious, PG Wall of Game Fame.

The opening ceremony

We're going to start things off with asynchronous racer Disc Drivin', which sees you propelling a disc around a number of tracks simply by flicking it.

Each track has several hazards and obstacles to avoid, but you do have special power-ups, such as boosts and bombs, to help you out.

The rules

Being turn-based, games of Disc Drivin' usually play out over hours, days, and even weeks. For that reason, I'll stop accepting new challenges on August 2nd, 2011.

I repeat, August 2nd, 2011.

Disc Drivin' only allows a limited number of ongoing games at any one time, so the challenge is on a first-come, first-served basis.

What you have to do

Now, this is the easy part.

Download Disc Drivin' from the App Store for free, start a new online race, and enter the username anthonyusher87.

I'll see you on the racecourse.
