The hotly anticipated crossover between Tencent’s hit mobile adaptation, Diablo Immortal, and Blizzard’s own landmark MMORPG World of Warcraft is now live.
Yes, for arguably the first time ever (with Heroes of the Storm an exception) you’ll see the worlds of Sanctuary and Azeroth clash as the villainous Lich King brings all his evil powers to bear. That means new challenges, new foes and plenty of rewards to grab as part of this ongoing event that runs from today until December 11th.
As for what you can expect from this update, let’s get started with:
- Facing down the Lich King himself in an epic boss battle.
- Duke it out in PvP at Cutthroat Basin, inspired by the Arathi Basin.
- Check out the Illidan Cosmetics you can find on the Phantom Market for all available classes.
- Transform your familiars with the Mulock skins to give them a fishy makeover.
- Finally, earn a brand new Legendary Gem with the Mournskull, and iconic World of Warcraft weaponry like Gorehowl, Remornia and Atiesh.

Diablo Immortal has been a huge success, but I've definitely seen a mixed reaction from longtime Blizzard fans towards it, lest I invoke the infamous "Is this an out-of-season April Fool's joke" moment.
