Win gold in Buddyman Run’s latest update
The endless runner gets a Rio-inspired overhaul
In celebration of the forthcoming games, iDreamSky have created a special update for its popular endless runner Buddyman Run.
This latest update means the athletes at Rio won’t be the only ones hoping to win a medal in sprint this summer. Players now have a brand new map to tackle, with hurdles to hop and parrots, trophies, footballs and torches adorning the track. As well as introducing a Brazilian-inspired colour scheme there’s even a brand new character to pick - a skeet shooter.
Buddyman Run came out in June 2016 and offers a twist on the usual endless runner genre. You still have to dodge, duck and leap as you traverse a course laden with dangerous obstacles. But in this case, you have an extra weapon up your sleeve. Literally. What you can’t jump over you can blast through, using a variety of weapons themed around your chosen Buddyman.
In addition to the brand new skeet shooter, there are 8 other characters for you to choose – a chef, a wizard, a commando, a pirate, a trumpeter, an astronaut, Rambo and the original Buddyman. Each one has a unique weapon – for example, as the trumpeter you can blast your way through obstacles by making a well-aimed racket with your instrument. Now that’s talent.
The 150+ missions in the original version are still available, but with this update you can experience truly endless running with a map that doesn’t stop until you do. Mixing together the quirky toy shop environment from the mission-driven game and the sporting event-inspired map, this new mode of play is all about surviving for as long as possible. Hit a high score - then aim to beat it.
