Popular Smash Bros-like platform fighter Brawlhalla has announced their latest collaboration, and it’s a doozy. This time, the popular fighting game will introduce a Castlevania crossover, which brings with it two brand-new characters from that series: Alucard and Simon Belmont. These beloved characters each come equipped with their own unique move sets with every ability inspired by their actions within their own games.

Simon Belmont is potentially the most recognisable name in Castlevania, as he was the protagonist of the very first game in the series. He comes equipped with his Morning Star Sword and a Battle Ax, both with their own respective Signature Abilities too. He’s a close-range fighter and intends to get up in the opponent's face and hit like a truck.

Alucard is likely the second most recognisable, and is the son of Dracula himself as well as the protagonist of Symphony of The Night - my personal favourite Castlevania title. Alucard is an adept swordsman who combines those talents with dark magic to do battle at a mid-range and wields his Ghost Familiar Orb and his Sword, both also with their own Signature Abilities.

This event also includes a brand new map, Dracula’s Castle, intended for 1v1 matches, as well as four new avatars and a Vampire Bat sidekick as an unlockable. All of this content really captures that spooky Castlevania vibe well, and it is surely exciting news for any Brawlhalla fan.

Brawlhalla, for those of you who aren’t familiar, is a 2D platform fighter that is similar to the recently released Multiversus or Smash Brothers. You’ll be doing battle on a preset stage with a few platforms scattered about, and your aim is to get your opponent to a high enough damage state that they fly off the map in defeat.

If you’re a fan of either series, this crossover should be right up your alley. To participate in it, you can download Brawlhalla for free at the Ubisoft Store exclusively. In the meantime, check out the official website for more information!
