Boss Monster is a dungeon-building card game that will be coming to iOS and Android if it's successfully funded on Kickstarter.

Brotherwise Games Kickstarted the paper version of Boss Monster back in 2012. It's since kicked off across America and is played by thousands.

Many of the fans have been requesting a digital version of the game. As such, Brotherwise has teamed up with developer Plain Concepts to make that happen.

It plays a lot like Dungeon Keeper, really - you know, when it was a fun game without wait-timers. In it, you play a video game boss and use Room Cards to build a dungeon.

Your task is to entice would-be heroes into your dungeon and then slay them once they're inside. It talks to geek culture and retro video game fans, but can be enjoyed by anyone.

The digital version will make use of video game features that the paper version doesn't allow.

So, yep, you'll be able to play against three AI opponents. There will also be pass-and-play as well as online multiplayer.

New "digitally enhanced" cards will vary up the play from the paper version, too. This includes four rooms, two new Bosses, and a new spell.

That's not to mention the retro game-inspired music and having the digital game do all the maths for you (unlike the paper version).

You can purchase the base version of the digital version of Boss Monster on Kickstarter for $5. For an extra two dollars you can get the mini-expansion with 11 digital-exclusive cards.

Brotherwise Games is looking for $85,000 on Kickstarter. It's looking like it will be funded at this point, as it's halfway to its goal and has 25 days left still.
