Bleach: Brave Souls brings back units based upon the Spirits Forever With You novel to celebrate the new year, alongside tons of events
KLab Inc’s quite popular mobile adaptation of the anime series Bleach, titled Black: Brave Souls, will be ringing in the new year with a ton of new content and events. These range from a variety of new characters for you to collect as well as a bunch of free handouts and even some new quests to tackle as well.
Let’s go over those new characters first, as they’re always the highlight. All of the following are 5-star characters, and the list begins with Toshiro Hitsugaya. This character is created with the collaboration of the Bleach novel Spirits Are Forever With You, and this version of him is based upon that iteration. He’s an upgraded version of the old Toshiro unit, and wields a large blade to hunt down shinigami.
Also in the collaborative effort with Spirits Are Forever With You, Kaname Tosen is another upgraded and unique version based upon his novel version, and can now be utilised within Brave Souls. He wields a beastly form, using claws and raw strength to destroy the shinigami masses.
And finally, another SAFWY unit - the upgraded version of Sajin Komamura, a beast captain from the anime series who is almost entirely just a massive wolf-like humanoid, will be up for grabs. This fiery commander uses sword and fist alike to deal massive damage.
Aside from the new characters, there’s a boatload of events going on as well. To highlight a few, there’s a 2023 Special Choice Lottery that will allow you to obtain 10 free characters, with one being a 6-star unit. Of course, there’s also the typical log-in everyday weekly event, as well as the new raid campaign where you and 5 other people can do battle against Toshiro Hitsugaya himself!
