Black Rock Shooter Fragment, the Japan-exclusive strategy RPG, launches collaboration with popular animated series RWBY
G2 Studio developer Good Smile has announced the latest collaboration within their Japan-exclusive mobile gacha RPG Black Rock Shooter Fragment. This time, the game is teaming up with the Rooster Teeth original animated series RWBY: Ice Queendom to bring a bunch of characters directly from the series to the game, alongside a smattering of other new content related to the show too.
Black Rock Shooter Fragment is another entry into the multimedia project that is Black Rock Shooter. This project has ranged from a PSP game to an animated series in itself, and Fragment is the latest on the mobile side of things. This game takes heavy inspiration from the super popular strategy gacha Arknights.
This means that gameplay mostly consists of placing down members of your team in advantageous positions throughout a tile-based map as enemies swarm in from one side, with your objective typically being to keep them from getting to the other side. Think of a tower defence meets gacha RPG style of game.
And now, with this collaboration effort, players will be able to utilise characters from the RWBY series within these maps! The characters available from this event are the protagonist Ruby Red herself alongside Weiss, Blake, and Yang too. All of these characters will be collected off of the new gacha banner, so be sure to test your luck and get rolling on it!
Beyond the new characters and equipment banner, there’s also a collection of new event stages you can clear that will reward you with a special gacha ticket that guarantees you to get one of the previously mentioned characters, so it’s not all up to luck. On top of this, if you manage to clear each stage’s challenge, you’ll grab yourself some limited profile titles and Gold BRS Statues too!
So, whether you're a fan of the RWBY series or a fan of Black Rock Shooter Fragment, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Why not get started by downloading it for free at either of the links below this article?
